Dahua’s Smart Dual-Light technology uses intelligent algorithms to accurately detect human targets.

At night, the camera operates with infrared (IR) illumination by default. When a target is detected, the warm light automatically switches on, enabling the camera to capture Full-Colour video and record key event details. Once the target leaves the monitored area, the warm light switches off and the camera returns to IR illumination, helping to minimise unnecessary lighting and reduce light pollution.

Smart Illumination (Default): Automatically switches between IR illumination and warm light when a human target is detected.

The camera features a built-in infrared illuminator and LED warm light, supporting Smart Dual-Light operation as well as manual selection of IR or warm light modes to suit different installation requirements. This allows the camera to output either black-and-white or full-colour video, depending on the selected illumination mode.

• SMD (Smart Motion Detection) analyses human and vehicle shapes using intelligent motion detection, triggering alarms only when a real intrusion is detected.

 
• SMD 4.0 further improves accuracy by filtering out animals, significantly reducing false alarms.
